Carrie Cutforth is a creative producer for cutting edge storytelling and interactive screen content who tells stories across a range of media: interactive, digital, web series, film, live events, text and more. She is an internationally respected expert in transmedia storytelling, and consults on interactive storytelling, funding, crowdfunding, web series, audience development, and business models for screen content.
Carrie has a legacy of community building in the web series and transmedia spaces internationally, nationally and locally, with an ongoing commitment to mentoring emerging talent. She has co-founded several community building organizations including Transmedia 101 and the Independent Web Series Creators of Canada (IWCC), served as the IWCC’s inaugural Executive Director, and co-produced TO WebFest’s inaugural year in 2014.
Carrie has sat on boards, committees, and juries (including the Canadian Screen Awards) in service of the community. Currently, she is the Chair of Sheridan’s Professional Advisory Council’s CCIT program.
